I was born In London to an English mother and Indian father. as  Jyoti Mukherjee.
I was educated in England India, Australia and France. 
I  completed my  acting training at The Ensemble STUDIOS(GRADUATED1979) IN SYDNEY AUSTRALIA. 
In 1979 I  took on the stage  name "Alex Pinder", Pinder being my mother 's maiden name. 
in1983 I  commenced training at  L'Ecole Jacques Lecoq Paris France(grad.1985).
I am co-founder of Artists in Community International, that provides art and drama programs for vulnerable communities in Nepal and India.
